Digital subscriber signalling for network management

Examines the issues involved in the support of network management functions at the ISDN user-network interface. The structure of the ISDN user-network interface is reviewed and some key areas in the relation of ISDN to the TMN (telecommunication management network) are noted. The major areas considered are requirements for the digital subscriber signalling system used at the ISDN user-network interface and the evolution of an architecture and protocols to support them.
