Abstract

In wireless networks, wireless devices strictly limited power, size, cost, etc. The wireless communication needs not only high reliability but also low complexity and power. Recently MIMO system is remarkable for diversity technique that requires several antennas at transmitter, but to implement in wireless devices is difficult now. So in this paper, we use cooperative protocol using one antenna at transmitter and to apply simple 1-2-1 cooperative protocols. 1-2-1 cooperative protocols exploit path-loss saving, coverage extension, energy-efficiency and spatial diversity. Consequently, this protocol has good performance than others (single-hop, multi-hop) over fast Rayleigh fading including AWGN.
