Abstract
Through a series of lapping experiments, this paper determines variation relationship of lapping quality with relative lapping parameters. On this base and combining the variation relationship connecting lapping parameters we have mastered, we set a knowledge base for lapping experts system. In this paper, we developed the experts system with the aid of the knowledge base and the experts system can give reasonable lapping parameters according to the real workpiece condition. Using the lapping parameters this system gives, we do lapping experiments and get good results. It proves that the lapping parameters given through the knowledge base developed in this paper are suitable.
