Abstract
The dynamic bandwidth allocation providing QoS for VSAT satellite network was investigated. Two bandwidth reservation allocation schemes were presented. These schemes aim at satisfying different QoS requirement and application scenario. And they can afford more bandwidth requests of applications with less bandwidth available. They efficiently manage the bandwidth pool and improve the utilization of satellite channel. The simulation results showed that the network performance can be improved by using new allocation schemes.
