Abstract
There are several indicators of directional properties in sedimentary beds that geologists use including intensity and size, which decrease away from the source; roundness, which increases from source; and cross-beds dip away from the source. Ice-push features likewise give a direction of origin, but glacial striae ar a directio al property that does not indicate unique direction or an origin. In the situation of glacial striae in Kansas, however, the direction can be safely determined k owi g from where the glaciers came.
