Abstract
We have completed the pilot phase of a multicentre, placebo-controlled double-blind-trial in 2000 patients in which those with clinical evidence of left ventricular dysfunction after myocardial infarction are randomised to receive either placebo or the angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor ramipril in addition to standard therapy, starting between 3 and 10 days after hospital admission
