Abstract

Tumours in the caudate lobe of the liver frequently involve the inferior vena cava (IVC). This report describes a paticnt with a liver metastasis successfully resected by independent caudate lobectomy combined with segmental resection and reconstruction of the IVC, using an autogenous vein graft.
