Abstract

Command and control organization structure (C2OS) design is one of the most important research issues in collaborative command decision-making domain. C2OS design optimally deploys the decision-making entities and platforms in order to achieve the effectiveness optimization of organization operation. Based on the analysis of military C2 organization and its structure formation, four kinds of decision-making entity organization structure (DMEOS) are concluded and described. Decentralized organization structure (DCOS) and centralized organization structure (COS) belong to traditional DMEOS, and distributed organization structure with coordinator (DOSWC) and complete distributed organization structure (CDOS) belong to distributed organization structure (DOS). The characteristics and performances of different DMEOS are analyzed and compared. It is the systemic summarization of the research and development of DMEOS.
