Abstract
Abstract Structural models for the crystalline and liquid crystalline smectic phase are presented for polymethylsiloxanes with mesogenic side groups and for some crystalline and lyotropic liquid crystalline cholesteric phases of cellulose derivatives. Optical and X‐ray methods have been applied in these investigations.
