Abstract
Aiming at directivity design and analysis of acoustic directional dispersing device, this paper has explored theoretically directivity calculation of circular piston transducer array with units arranged at will. Based on superposition principle of sound, a formula used for the directivity calculation has been derived. With this formula, this paper has analyzed directivity of octagon transducer plane array, and found that the side lobe appear when octagon transducer array working at high frequency. When frequency is below 2 kHz, directivity of this array varies greatly with frequency. But above 2kHz, the variation is slight, and beam angle is no more than 29.85°(Θ-3dB≤ 29.85°). Which meets fully the requirement of directivity performance. The low frequency directivity may be improved by increasing moderately the distance between units of array. However, it also increases the side lobe level. The research has provided effective method for directivity design and analysis of transducer array of acoustic directional dispersing device.
