A review of the genus Helicia Lour. (Proteaceae) in Australia.

Abstract

The genus Helicia in Australia is reviewed. A key to the species is given. Three new species, Helicia grayi, Helicia blakei arid Helicia lewisensis are described. Helicia glabrescens C. T. White and Helicia dentellata Sleumer are reduced to synonyms si Helicia australasica F. Muell. Distribution maps are given for all species. Only those specimens of particular significance, type specimens and specimens seen of the new species are fully cited; a separate species identification list has been lodged with the journal.
