Estimating the Effects of Microcredit on Women's Empowerment: An Empirical Evidence from District Attock

Abstract

The main purpose of this research work is to explore the impact of micro credit on Women’s empowerment with respect to increase in their income & saving and other social improvements which are caused by the micro credit. For this research analysis, the data collection is restricted only within the selected areas of Tehsil Hassan Abdal District Attock where National Rural Support Program (NRSP) is disbursing the micro credit through Community Organization of women & through group lending which may fail to represent the actual scenario of the whole country. The results conclude that the micro credit plays a very positive role in the lives of rural women.
