Abstract
Radiotherapists use the terms radiosensitivity and radioresistance in their current work, but no clear definition or unifying concepts exist for these words. Since both denote the magnitude of the response of tissues or cells to radiation, they are relative terms. Absolute radiosensitivity or radioresistance does not exist. Almost all tumours can be controlled by radiation provided sufficient dose is given.
