Abstract

Abstract The results of systematically conducted field observations revealed that the site of male:female assembly for mating in apple maggot flies, Rhagoletis pomonella (Walsh), was exclusively on the fruit of the larval host plant. Laboratory observations were in strong agreement with this finding.
