Abstract
In this paper we present the main features of PKtool, an efficient simulation environment for SystemC, which allows the easy introduction of a power model in the executable specification of a complex design. The PKtool simulator has been applied to the SystemC modules of Bluetooth baseband layer and many simulations of the power dissipated by the baseband during the life of the piconet have been performed.
