Abstract
The principles of virtual assembly and the process of general assembly are analyzed and discussed in this thesis. Meanwhile, ATV parts parametric model creation and assembly, as well as component parts of assembly interference analysis are analyzed in CATIA V5, which successfully realized the ATV assembly. Finally, the bottom-up ATV virtual assembly design is summarized according to the characteristics of CATIA V5.
