Abstract

This experiment was studied To evaluate the effect of plant density, date and planting depth on yield and yield components of potato in a factorial randomized complete block design with three replications in 2010-2011 on the experimental farm located in a village at 70 km from city of Chabahar. In this study, the first factor included three levels of density a1 (66600 plants per hectare or row spacing 15 cm) and a2 (40000 plants per hectare or 25 cm row spacing) and a3 (28000 plants per hectare or distance on rows 35 cm). The second factor was sowing date in three levels: b1 (15 November), b2 (30 November), b3 (15 December), the third factor is in the planting depth c1 (10 cm) and c2 (20 cm). The results showed that the highest number of tubers per plant and yield per plant was obtained in the density of 28000 plants per hectare and planting date of 30 November, planting depth of 20 cm, respectively. Highest average tuber weight of 28,000 and 40,000 plants per hectare and density planting was produced on 15 November and 30 November. The highest yield and dry matter yield per unit area density 40000 plants per hectare, planting date was generated on 30 November and depth of 20 cm.
