Abstract
Product definition is the core of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM). This paper presented a concept of integrated product lifecycle model to give a unified and coherent product definition for different domains, phases and aspects in product lifecycle. The architecture of the integrated product lifecycle model is proposed and the methodology of how to model product lifecycle information is described from three dimensions, which are lifecycle dimension, view dimension and domain dimension. Finally, an object-oriented product lifecycle model management system is developed to provide the functions of object modeling, accessing, managing and persistence.
