Abstract
This paper presents a novel approach to synthesis of bandpass filters, which makes it possible to minimize filter insertion loss. The approach is applicable to any type of resonators and filter configuration. Practical application of the approach is illustrated by a design of bandpass filters based on edge-coupled half-wavelength microstrip resonators.
