Abstract
The authors identified temperature zones from quantitatively petrographic data on solid organic substances. These zones constitute a system responsible for the generation, migration, and accumulation of organic fluids, which as a whole is responsible for the production of oil pools. The zones are produced mainly by heat fluxes from the asthenosphere and by the heat from intrusions. The paleo-temperature gradient is one of the parameters of such heat fluxes.
