Abstract
The simulation system theory is one of the basic theories of the discipline of simulation science and technology. The paper analyzes the constitution of the simulation system theory from three different levels, that is, the general theory, the domain theory and the supporting technologies for constructing simulation systems. It proposes that the general theory of simulation systems include the definition and classification of simulation systems, the architecture theory of simulation systems, the design theory of simulation systems, and the life-cycle management theory of simulation systems; that the domain theory of simulation systems include the super-reality, the space-time consistency, and the real-timeness of simulation systems; and that the supporting technologies for constructing simulation systems include design-time supporting technologies, run-time supporting technologies, and standards and specifications of simulation systems. To a certain extent, it is of great guidance for the work of making simulation science and technology into a discipline and the development of simulation systems.
