Abstract
Based on conventional adaptive arithmetic coding, a dimensional adaptive arithmetic coding technique is proposed. In this technique, not only entropy coding table is generated on the fly, but also the symbol dimension is increased on the fly. Efficient and robust joint entropy coding is achieved at low complexity increase.
