Abstract

The mobile by definition in the Information Technology (IT) arena is a device that is designed for use outside the office or in the field. This comprises of mobile phone, personal digital assistants (PDAs), mobile computers such as pocket communications systems (PCS) and palmtop computers. The mobile business in theUnited States is growing at very fast pace, creating new opportunities for business to reinvent internal processes and also finding new ways to interact with customers and suppliers. The ability to interact with customers, employees, and other related entities virtually anywhere, through convenient and easy-to-use mobile devices and wireless services can play a vital role in companies'business processes. Companies are simply putting mobile technology into their work processes to gain competitive advantage. Mobile technology can have considerable impacts on organizations to change the way of doing business. The mobile technology eventually will contribute to the rapid growth of overall industries in the United States. This paper explorers the status and advancement of mobile technology in the United States. The paper addresses the current situation of mobile industry and related issues to understand the impacts on the other industries.
