Abstract Electrocatalytic hydrogenolysis and hydrogenation of 4-halophenols, 4-chloroaniline and chloronitrobenzene have been investigated in aqueous media using different surfactant agents on two kinds of cathodes investigated on, Raney nickel electrode and carbon electrode.
