Pityriasis rosea and guttate psoriasis

Abstract
Pityriasis rosea and guttate psoriasis are common conditions. While both present a rash as the main feature, the underlying causes are different and sometimes difficult to determine. Closer inspection of the rash and its presentation reveal certain characteristics which help to make the correct diagnosis. The patient can then be offered a satisfactory explanation of the problem and be informed of how it can be managed.
