Abstract

A truly holistic approach to the problem of infertility needs to consider the couple involved, their family, the future child and the doctor. Scientific successes in a fertility clinic are not always successes in human terms, particularly if the couples' feelings are not fully explored before treatment. The aim of all involved in the management of infertility should be the optimum for the patient, rather than the maximum
