Abstract
A modified form is proposed to express the product of polynomial matrices as the product of related real matrices, whose dimensions are shown to be less than the block Toeplitz matrices used for the same purposes. An augmented real matrix is also defined, and it is used to solve a polynomial matrix Diophantine equation.>
