Abstract
Characteristics of the flare activity of 14 red dwarf stars were determined. Twelve of them were UV Cet-type stars. The most detailed material was considered for 4 stars (AD Leo, EV Lac, YZ CMi, and UV Cet), for which observations were made during the International Patrol of Flare Stars. It was found for these stars that the number of flares and the mean energy emitted (per the unit of time) did not vary for 2 to 3 years, and the differences observed were due to the effect of observational selection. The distribution of 14 stars studied on the diagram absolute magnitude M (102) --color index (102, 65)'' showed that there are young and old stars between them. Yound UV Cet-type stars possess the higher flare activity. (auth)
