Abstract

The author describes decision scenario analysis, a method for analyzing and structuring decision task domain knowledge, which is the first step in developing a decision support system (DSS). The method has evolved out of experience with more than 15 real-life DSS projects and has constantly been revised on the basis of this experience. The method is appropriate for automation as demonstrated by a prototype tool, the decision task analyzer.>
