Analysis of Typical Distress and Cause on Asphalt Pavement for Liaoning Highway

Abstract

This paper talks about the basic practical requirements for pavement maintenance of Liaoning Province in northeast China. This paper presents research involving asphalt pavement distress of six natural districts, and then analyses the types, characteristics and causes of pavement distress that exist in ordinary roads and freeways in different areas. Finally, it compares the two kinds of highways. The statistically analytical results would be regarded as the important reference for pavement maintenance systems.
