Abstract

This paper contemplates to identify some problems when SIR (signal to interference power ratio) based closed loop transmit power control is applied to the reverse link of a CDMA cellular system with multiple cells. For that purpose the outage ratio and amount of interference have been evaluated by simulating the transmit power control and the user capacity defined in terms of the outage ratio is also obtained. Some problems of the maximum transmit power of the mobile user terminal and a mixture of terminals with different target SIR or different maximum transmit power have been found from those results.
