Abstract
Shading device is important to save the building cooling load. Shadinge performance can be required differently as the characteristics of the local climate. Especially, using movable shading device is required for the locations with four clear seasons. In this paper, we studied the basic formula of the heat gain through fenestration systems containing shading device. Then, we analysed the relationship between climate factors and the shading and fenestration performance factors. And we derived an equation of evaluating building shading performance. We made an evaluation of shading performance for louvered sun screen according to the building orientation.
