Abstract
A novel sampled modulation scheme is proposed, allowing the fiber transmission of broad-band analog signals. The deleterious effects of self phase modulation, dispersion and stimulated Brillouin scattering are all mitigated. Comparison with conventional amplitude modulation shows improvement.
