Abstract

The aim of this experiment was to evaluate the effect of the floating bed technology which used Canna general is, Acorus calamus and the two plants mixed together with the technology of soil less culture for scenic water treatment. The results showed that all the plants grew well and nitrogen, phosphorous and organic pollutants were removed effectively after 60 days. The highest removal rate of TP, TN and CODMn occurred in the system of Canna generalis, Acorus calamus and Canna generalis general is mixed Acorus calamus, and the value of removal rates was 70.5%, 69.4%, 30.3%, respectively. Further more, high removal rates of NH4+-N occurred in the all systems, the value was between 88.2% to 90.1%. Compared with the unplanted system, the growth of algae could be impeded.
