Abstract

Abstract The IR and Raman spectra of the monophosphates of β‐alanine and sarcosine were recorded and analysed. The carboxylic group is found to exist as COO− and the orthophosphate as H3PO4 in β‐alanine monophosphate. In sarcosine monophosphate these groups seem to exist as COOH and H2PO4−, respectively.
