Abstract

The oils obtained from leaf, stembark and rootbark of Cinnamomum pauciflorum Nees. (Lauraceae), growing wild in northeast India, were examined by GC. Cinnamaldehyde was the main component of the oil, with the highest percentage found in the leaf oil (94%), followed by the rootbark oil (92.4%) and stembark oils (85.1%).
