Abstract

Abstract In the Dalradian rocks of the Loch Tummel area it is possible to establish a series of metamorphic events which are both syntectonic and post‐tectonic in relation to the polyphasal sequence of structures established in the area. Mineral assemblages which have developed during successive phases of metamorphism have been distinguished by their textural relationships, and are assigned to the appropriate metamorphic facies. Comparisons have been made with the metamorphic sequence established by Rast in the Schichallion area.
