Abstract

Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) has been recognized to have great potential in producing high quality, large reusable software. However, we often find it difficult to write good C++ or Smalltalk programs. Without good program designs we will not reap the benefits of OOP. On the other hand, Object-Oriented Design (OOD) is considerably more complex than that of the traditional design disciplines such as Structured Design. Therefore, without the help of powerful CASE tools, we may not achieve the benefits of OOD and OOP.
