Abstract
In this paper an interleaved soft switching boost converter (ISSBC) for a photovoltaic power generation system is presented. This topology uses a resonant soft switching technique and hence the switching losses are minimized. Performance comparison is made between a single switch soft switching boost converter (SSSSBC) and the ISSBC converter. It is proved that the ISSBC topology is superior to the SSSSBC topology. The simulation is performed using MATLAB the Simulink package.
