Abstract

Experiments was performed to investigate the influence of fermentation conditions on activity of cellulose produced by an effective cellulase-producing fungus Trichoderma viride CE-1 which was screened in laboratory. Filter paper activity (FPA) were measured an index to the fermentation test. Single-factor experiments were carried out at the beginning to test enzyme activity of cellulase under different conditions of fermentation time, temperature, initial culture medium pH and inoculum quantity, then orthogonal design was employed to optimize the fermentation conditions. The results showed that the most suitable fermentation condition was fermentation temperature at 38°C, fermentation time for 120h, culture medium initial pH5.0 and inoculum quantity of 8%.
