Abstract
An investigation into the influence of different degrees of bonding between bituminous layers in roads using elastic theory has provided improved data compared with those published earlier. Local failure can arise through poor bond and mediocre bond could reduce pavement lives by up to 30 per cent. The subject is one which requires further study using experimental methods. (Author/TRRL)
