Abstract
Summary Composting is a biological treatment method widely used for solid wastes and sewage sludges. In this study, co-composting of solid waste and sludges originating from Izmir city was investigated. In experimental part of the study, 12 reactors were set up in the laboratory. Reactors were loaded with solid waste taken from Uzundere composting plant and sludges taken from Cigli and Guneybati wastewater treatment plants. Solid wastes and sludges were mixed in different ratios.
