Abstract

Fuzzy implementation of direct torque control of induction machine is presented here. Error of stator flux, error of motor electromagnetic torque and position of angle of flux are taken as fuzzy variables, voltage vector of inverter is selected through fuzzy decision. Simulation results shows that ripple content of torque is reduced compared with conventional direct torque control (DTC). It also improves torque rise time and torque response during an abrupt change in command torque.
