The habitat conditions of this local endemic species growing in Yılanlı Dagğı (Muğla province) in SW Anatolia, Turkey, and its conservation status are considered. V. haraldi-adnani appears to be most closely allied to V. luciliae. Its affinities with this and other related or similar species are discussed.
