Abstract

Article entitled “True feminism that is about the new feminism of John Paul II” aims to bring what a new feminism is. Today, feminism is sometimes perceived negatively. Properly understood feminism brings many benefits to both men and women. The author begins with the origins of feminism. She gives some definitions and a brief history. Introduction to feminism, mentions briefly feminism theology. Then, defines the new feminism. It uses a new definition of feminism, which is located in the encyclical Evangelium Vitae, John Paul II. In the next sections she points out to the distinction found between the new feminism and the old feminism. Next she underlines how much evil brings wrongly understood feminism. Then she confronts the new feminism of gender studies and concludes that it is improper to identify the new feminism with the ideology of gender studies. The author stresses the need of implementation assumptions of the new feminism, which appreciates the “genius of a woman” and involves the cooperation between men and women. Together they form a new feminism. She emphasizes danger of rejection the old feminism because the today’s generation owes it much good. All this does the author based on the analysis of the writings of John Paul II, which can be called the precursor of a new feminism.
