Abstract

The measurement and evaluation method of human exposure to mechanical vibration is summarized firstly. A special testing system for measuring and evaluating human vibration is designed. The hardware platform is developed by assembling the sensors, the amplifier and the data acquisition etc. Based on Virtual Instrument, the signal obtained by hardware systems is analyzed by computer program. According to the evaluation method of human exposure to mechanical vibration, the analysis software for the evaluation of human vibration is programmed from the time-domain and the frequency-domain with MATLAB and IMC FAMOS. Through the time-domain method, the crest factor of vibration could be calculated in order to choose the suitable evaluation method. Through the frequency-domain method, the frequency character could be analyzed in order to improve the vibration. The testing system could be satisfied for the measurement and evaluation of human vibration. The testing system is used to measure and evaluate the vibration in motorcycles, which indicates the testing system is convenience and reliable.
