Abstract

A series of novel trans-mixed diamine platinum(II) and platinum(IV) complexes of type trans-[PtII(R-NH2)(R'-NH2)Cl2] and trans -[PtIV(R-NH2)(R'-NH2)Cl4] (where R-NH2 = ethylamine or butylamine and R'-NH2 = methylamine, propylamine, isopropylamine, pentylamine, or hexylamine) was synthesized and characterized using elemental analysis and infrared and 195Pt nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopic techniques.
