Abstract

The Strategic Highway Research Program's Long Term Pavement Performance study required permanent, high resolution, pavement distress records. To meet this need, SHRP chose PASCO USA's automated ROADRECON Survey systems to obtain permanent, high resolution, records of pavement surface distress and transverse profile. This report documents the methods used to calibrate the survey systems and develop quality control procedures. It also summarizes the survey operations, and support system development performed prior to June 1991.
