Abstract
Abstract In 1986, Hagerstown Junior College embarked on a ten‐year process of renewal. Through community‐based programming and the facilitation of community problem solving, the college redefined its civic purpose and formulated and executed an action agenda that will lead the college into the twenty‐first century.
