Abstract
The design of a fuel consumption instrument for diesel locomotive including its working principle, hardware and software is presented in this paper. As one of constituent parts of overall performance test system for DF series diesel locomotive, it is applied to measure the fuel level in the tank of diesel locomotive based on Siphon Principle, collect and process data, output or store the fuel consumption in the overall performance test.
